The Burning Rice Fields (older folktale) and newer folktale called Tsumani (illustrated by Ed Young.) A Mama for Owen is also a good "after Tsumani" book. The books are all for elementary age students, but the website could be used at any age level, I think.
I think that it gives a good explanation of a tsunami.
